On May 16, more than 250 animal lovers gathered at the Winter Park Events Center for an unforgettable evening in support of pets in our community.
Guests were welcomed by adoptable dogs from Polka Dogz Pet Rescue and adoptable cats from The Pixel Fund before enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while browsing silent auction items, entering raffles, trying their luck at the popular gift card toss, and mingling with fellow supporters.
Emcees Jason Guy and Michelle Imperato kept the energy high throughout the evening, and Derek and Kristina Paquette were honored as Franklin’s Friends of the Year.
One of the evening’s most touching moments was a special appearance by Buddy, the miracle dog featured in the event’s mission video, whose inspiring story moved guests and highlighted the impact of Franklin’s Friends’ work.
The night concluded with an exciting live auction led by Alan Frenkel and an incredibly generous response to the call for donations.
Thanks to the overwhelming support of our community, the event raised more than $272,000 for local animal welfare!
