The new improved Mardi Paws Parade will be the most adorable four-legged pup strut of the Carnival season! It will officially open the Casselberry Mardi Gras Music Festival. Pups and Krewe will line up in costume and show their beads to the judges! Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 costumes.
$10 registration fee per dog. All proceeds benefit Franklin’s Friends.

Registration for the costume contest will be from 4:15 - 4:45 p.m. The parade begins at 5:00 pm.

HOW TO ENTER THE ZOOM BACKGROUND CONTEST
· Follow these instructions to create your virtual background
· If you are using your laptop camera to join zoom the best image size is 1920 x 1080
· We will accept Zoom background images only - no videos
· Email a screenshot of you or your pet(s) or both in front of your zoom background to franklinsfriends@gmail.com by 5 pm October 23
1. Log on to your zoom account
2. Click “host meeting with video on” from the website or “new meeting” from the app
3. Enter full screen (upper right)
4. Take a screen shot of you or your pet(s) or both in front of the background (Press Command, Shift, and 3 together on a Mac or PrtScn or Fn and PrtScn together on a PC)
5. This works best if you have a green screen behind you as Zoom subtracts out your real background
and replaces it with your virtual background
6. If you don’t have a green screen any solid color background will work
7. If you don’t. have a solid color background just be sure your clothes do not have any of the colors in
the virtual background
· No fee to enter
· Voting will occur on the HOWL-O-WEEN Zoom meeting that starts October 24 at 10 am
· The winner will receive a mug personalized with their Zoom background photo
· The runner up will receive a mouse pad personalized with their Zoom background photo
· By submitting a photo you grant Franklin’s Friends the right to reproduce and display it without further notification.
· Franklin’s Friends reserves the right to disqualify any submissions including profanity, obscene images, or derogatory language
· Please provide photo/ credit if you do not own the background image
· The winner(s) will be notified on the Zoom meeting and/or by email
HOWL-O-WEEN was spook-tacular!
Franklin's Friends was excited to present HOWL-O-WEEN! It was paws-itively spook-tacular! An awesome crowd came out to enjoy the leisurely dog walk and doggie costume contest while raising over $40,000 for Franklin's Friends and local animal welfare!

"UNLEASHED. UNCORKED. UNFRAMED." WAS AN AWESOME TIME AND AN AMAZING SUCCESS
Franklin’s Friends hosted the 8th annual Unleashed. Uncorked. Unframed. - and the first ever hybrid version - on May 15. The event was island themed this year so guests donned their resort wear and leis and came together (both in person and virtually) to support local animal welfare. It was a fun, inspiring night and raised an amazing $110,000!
WESH 2 News anchors Jason Guy and Michelle Imperato returned to emcee, and guests had the chance to bid on WESH2 meteorologist Tony Mainolfi pouring champagne for their table! The gala featured live and silent auctions, trivia and chat features, a face mask contest, inspirational videos, and Gus - one of the dogs that a Franklin's Friends grant helped to save - made a live appearance. 126 people attended the sold-out, in person version - outdoor, masked and socially distanced. Virtual ticket holders had a catered meal (complete with wine, vodka, and dessert) delivered and then joined the livestream!
Thank you to all our sponsors, attendees, donors, and volunteers. We could have never pulled off this hybrid event (with a fully virtual option and a safe in person) option without you! The local animal welfare community needs us now more than ever during this difficult time. Thank you for embracing the "new normal" and helping us to raise money for this important cause!

HOWL-O-WEEN 2022
**DUE TO FLOODING FROM HURRICANE IAN, HOWL-O-WEEN HAS BEEN POSTPONED**
Franklin's Friends is proud to present the ninth annual HOWL-O-WEEN Dog Walk-a-Thon and Canine Costume Contest. Due to flooding from Hurricane Ian, it has been postponed to November 5 from 9 am to noon. This year, we moved the location to Cranes Roost Park at Uptown Altamonte in order to accommodate more vendors and walkers. Please join us to fundraise for local animal welfare. Last year HOWL-O-WEEN raised over $42,000!
We will have a dog walk, canine costume contest, adoptable dogs, pet-friendly vendors, music and much more! All proceeds will benefit Franklin’s Friends. Denise Ryan from 98.9 WMMO's Morning Show will return to emcee. We expect at least 750 animal lovers will come out and enjoy a morning of fun for the whole family. This is an event not to be missed!
There will be fabulous prizes for top individual fundraisers, top team fundraisers and best costumes!

We're in complete awe of our Unleashed. Uncorked. Unframed. Gala! We raised a record $248,000 for animal welfare in Central Florida. We couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate the event's 10th anniversary!

"UNLEASHED. UNCORKED. UNFRAMED." raised a record $248,000!
Franklin's Friends celebrated the tenth anniversary of their "Unleashed. Uncorked. Unframed." gala by raising a record $248,000! Over 250 supporters donned their cocktail attire and came together to support the cause. It was a magical evening to raise money for pets in Central Florida!
WESH2 news anchors Michelle Imperato and Jason Guy returned to emcee, and guests had the opportunity to bid on the chance to have WESH 2 chief meteorologist Tony Mainolfi pour a magnum of champagne for their table. The gala featured fabulous live and silent auctions, inspirational videos, raffles, a wine pull, and a guest appearance by Bali - one of the dogs that ADORE Pet Rescue was able to save due to a grant from Franklin's Friends.
Thank you to all of the sponsors, guests, auction item donors, and volunteers. The event was spectacular - and all proceeds will benefit local animal welfare!

Our Unleashed. Uncorked. Unframed. Gala was spectacular! We raised almost $215,000 for local animal welfare - and passed the $3 million mark in total funds raised. We can't thank everybody enough for their support!
