HOWL-O-WEEN v2020
Franklin’s Friends was proud to present the seventh annual HOWL-O-WEEN on October 24, 2020. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, the event looked a little bit different this year but it was a ton of fun for the whole family!
We started with peer to peer fundraising- raising almost $20,000 on our dojiggy platform.
Our first annual online Pet Costume Photo contest featured some amazing costumes, generated fierce competition and raised almost $3,000. Click here to see all the dog and cat entries!
Then, on October 24, we all joined a zoom meeting with 98.9 WMMO's Denise Ryan as emcee. We had a virtual scavenger hunt, a zoom background contest, and played virtual trivia and bingo!! Pet Photo Costume Contest Winners were announced as well as top individual and team fundraisers.
Best of all we raised almost $23,000 for local animal welfare!

"UNLEASHED. UNCORKED. UNFRAMED." WAS AN AWESOME TIME AND AN AMAZING SUCC
Franklin’s Friends hosted the 8th annual Unleashed. Uncorked. Unframed. - and the first ever hybrid version - on May 15. The event was island themed this year so guests donned their resort wear and leis and came together (both in person and virtually) to support local animal welfare. It was a fun, inspiring night and raised an amazing $110,000!
WESH 2 News anchors Jason Guy and Michelle Imperato returned to emcee, and guests had the chance to bid on WESH2 meteorologist Tony Mainolfi pouring champagne for their table! The gala featured live and silent auctions, trivia and chat features, a face mask contest, inspirational videos, and Gus - one of the dogs that a Franklin's Friends grant helped to save - made a live appearance. 126 people attended the sold-out, in person version - outdoor, masked and socially distanced. Virtual ticket holders had a catered meal (complete with wine, vodka, and dessert) delivered and then joined the livestream!
Thank you to all our sponsors, attendees, donors, and volunteers. We could have never pulled off this hybrid event (with a fully virtual option and a safe in person) option without you! The local animal welfare community needs us now more than ever during this difficult time. Thank you for embracing the "new normal" and helping us to raise money for this important cause!

HOWL-O-WEEN 2021
Franklin’s Friends is excited to present the eighth annual HOWL-O-WEEN Dog Walk-a-Thon and Canine Costume Contest on October 30, 2021 at Secret Lake Park in Casselberry. Please join us in raising money for local animal welfare!
We will have a dog walk, canine costume contest, adoptable dogs, pet-friendly vendors, music and much more! We expect over 500 animal lovers will come out and enjoy a morning of fun for the whole family. Denise Ryan from 98.9 WMMO's Morning Show will return to emcee. This will be an event not to be missed!
There will be fabulous prizes for top individual fundraisers, top team fundraisers and best costumes!
All proceeds benefit Franklin's Friends and local animal welfare.

Franklin’s Friends is proud to present the 9th annual Unleashed. Uncorked. Unframed. gala on May 7, 2022. It will be a magical evening with exemplary wines, gourmet cuisine, spectacular live and silent auctions, and a private art sale. WESH 2 News anchors Jason Guy and Michelle Imperato will return to host the event.
This year's Unleashed. Uncorked. Unframed. gala will be fully in person at the beautiful Mediterranean-themed Holy Trinity Reception Center in Maitland. We anticipate more than 250 animal lovers will don their cocktail attire and come together to support Franklin's Friends and local animal welfare.
In 2021, despite COVID, a hybrid version of Unleashed. Uncorked. Unframed. raised almost $113,000!

HOWL-O-WEEN 2021 WAS PAWS-ITIVELY SPOOKTACULAR!
Franklin’s Friends was excited to present the eighth annual HOWL-O-WEEN Dog Walk-a-Thon and Canine Costume Contest on October 30.
It was paws-itively spook-tacular! An awesome crowd came out to enjoy the leisurely dog walk and doggie costume contest while raising money for Franklin's Friends and local animal welfare.
We had beautiful weather, lots of dogs in costumes, vendors and rescue groups, music, raffles and more! WMMO's Denise Ryan (and her dog Rusty) returned to emcee. There was fierce competition for top fundraising and best costume prizes. And best of all we raised over $40,000 - with donations still coming in! These funds will be granted to local nonprofit and government agencies for Shelter/Rescue, Spay/Neuter, and Community Education projects.

Aloha Party - presented by Guys with Ties Philanthropy
Kick off this Spring with a tropical themed Party with a Purpose - to benefit Franklin's Friends! Join Guys with Ties Philanthropy at Aloha Beautiful, a beautifully decorated venue that brings island vibes to downtown Orlando. The theme is tropical so get those Hawaiian shirts and sundresses ready for a night of fun including specialty island themed cocktails.
There will be a silent auction, raffles, karaoke and more! Ages 21 and up only. $35 ticket price includes two complimentary drinks between 6 pm and 8 pm sponsored by Tito's Homemade Vodka. And all proceeds benefit Franklin's Friends!

Franklin's Friends 11th annual HOWL-O-WEEN Dog Walk-a-Thon and Canine Costume Contest was on October 26 - and it was pup-tastic and spook-tacular!
Even though the stage and bleachers were flooded by Hurricane Milton, we had a great crowd, beautiful weather, amazing vendors, sought after raffle items, and lots of dogs in costumes! WMMO's Denise Ryan and her pup Rusty returned to emcee and we raised over $42,500 for local animal welfare!
