No animal should be left behind due to lack of funding.
We're on a mission to ensure animal welfare organizations in our community can say yes to every dog and cat who needs help.

The most devastating decision an animal welfare organization has to face is turning away an animal in need — especially when it’s due to lack of funding. That’s why we’re dedicated to providing life-saving grants for animal welfare organizations and government agencies in Central Florida. With our financial support, these frontline heroes can continue to find loving homes for them, control the population through spay and neuter efforts, educate the community on responsible pet ownership, and help owners keep their pets in their loving homes.

Our Youth Ambassador Panel is a new generation of young leaders seeking to engage actively in community service by promoting Franklin’s Friends and championing its mission to support animal welfare in Central Florida.
Franklin's Friends 11th annual HOWL-O-WEEN Dog Walk-a-Thon and Canine Costume Contest was on October 26 - and it was pup-tastic and spook-tacular!
Even though the stage and bleachers were flooded by Hurricane Milton, we had a great crowd, beautiful weather, amazing vendors, sought after raffle items, and lots of dogs in costumes! WMMO's Denise Ryan and her pup Rusty returned to emcee and we raised over $42,500 for local animal welfare!
Our gala is a magical evening filled with gourmet cuisine, exemplary wines, spectacular live and silent auctions, and a private art sale. We anticipate more than 250 animal lovers will don their finest cocktail attire, and come together to support our cause and local animal welfare on May 10, 2025.
