Monisha Seth, President
Monisha is an internal medicine physician with Florida Hospital Medical Group in Winter Park, Florida. She and her husband Anthony founded Franklin's Friends in 2003 after adopting their first dog Franklin from the SPCA of Central Florida. They are now the proud parents of 4 rescued hounds - Annie, Juliette, Winston, and Lincoln. She is pictured here with Franklin - who inspired all the important work Franklin's Friends has done to support local animal welfare.
Anthony Douglas, Vice President
Anthony is a founding member and Vice-President of Franklin's Friends. He, along with his wife, Monisha Seth, founded Franklin's Friends after adopting their foxhound, Franklin, from the SPCA of Central Florida. He is an internal medicine physician with Florida Hospital Medical Group in Maitland, Florida and is the proud father of four rescued hounds that both fulfill and challenge his life.
Shari Gray, Secretary
Shari has always had a love for animals. She currently works for Seminole County Public Schools and has been an Educator for 28 years. Shari spends her free time with her two Therapy Dogs visiting hospitals, nursing Homes and schools. She has a love for crafting, sewing and taking care of her 6 rescued dogs.
Dianne Ely, Director of Development
Dianne has had a distinguished career in retail management with Sears Holdings for 25 years and spent 10 years in the education sector. Dianne spent her entire career focusing on sales, customer service and operational effectiveness. As a result of this experience, Dianne is well-positioned to help Franklin’s Friends raise funds to be used for the benefit of animals in Central Florida. She is also mom to 6 wonderful rescues, 13yr old lab/aussie mix Betsy and Brutus, 10 yr olds aussie/border collie mix Maggie and Sydney, 8 yr old boxer mix Riley and 7 yr old lab/golden retriever mix Jackson!! Dianne knows full well, she is the one who was rescued!
Steve Butler, Lead Website Developer
Steve is the Director of IES Account Management for Auto Injury Solutions. His consulting and leadership experience in a corporate environment are well-suited to aid in guiding and facilitating Franklin's Friends business decisions. Steve and his wife Michele are both animal lovers who are blessed to be able to share their lives with two rescued miniature longhaired Dachshunds, Gracie and JoJo.
Michele Butler, Director
Michele is a manager in the claims department at Progressive Insurance, where she has worked for 19 years. Her management experience in a corporate environment has provided her valuable experiences which guide her decisions as a Franklin's Friends board member. Michele and her husband Steve are both animal lovers who are blessed to be able to share their lives with two rescued miniature longhaired Dachshunds, Gracie and JoJo.
Kristen Carbone, Director
Kristen is an avid animal rescue supporter and die hard Florida gator fan! She currently works as a pharmaceutical sales representative and spends her spare time volunteering for several local animal rescues doing both fundraising and fostering. She and her family have 3 cats Pepper, Will and Grace and three dogs Sake, Toby and Champion the Dogbassador, a local rescue celebrity. With over 15 years of sales and marketing experience, and strong ties to our local veterinary, shelter and rescue community, she is a great asset to the Franklin's Friends team.
Becky Collazo, Director
Becky has worked for Florida Hospital for the past 17 years as a mammography technologist. She is passionate about her profession, knowing that mammography saves the lives of women in Central Florida but also loves saving local animals through her work with Franklin's Friends. As a child, she grew up with all kinds of pets; dogs, cats, birds and more, if only her parents would have let her. Beagles Bella and Honey, now share their home with the remainder of the Collazo family!
Crystal Leroy, Director (Currently On Leave of Absence)
Crystal is a recent graduate of the University of Central Florida and is currently a veterinary student at Lincoln Memorial University. She loves volunteering to help all species of animals in her spare time. Animal welfare is her passion and Franklin’s Friends has helped her reach many more pets in need. She has two beagles Dixie and Gracie, and two cats Darwin and Finch.
